FAQ
-
Where can I park?
Please only park on the side of the building along Yale Street or in the back lot. Do not park in front of the building, as those spots belong to our neighbors. Vehicles parked in front are subject to towing.
-
Do I need to bring my own mat?
We provide mats, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. A mat towel is recommended for hygiene and comfort, especially in heated classes.
-
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting activewear that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are required for safety and cleanliness.
-
I’m new to Pilates. Is Match Pilates right for me?
Absolutely. Our instructors offer modifications and cues for all levels. We recommend starting with a Sculpt class to build your foundation.
-
What is your late policy?
For the safety and experience of all clients, there is a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. After 10 minutes, entry will not be permitted, and your spot may be given to a waitlisted client. Please arrive early to ensure a smooth start to your session.
-
How should I prepare for class?
Bring grip socks, a water bottle, and a mat towel. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to get settled and let the instructor know if you have any injuries or limitations.
-
How does the waitlist work?
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you’ll be automatically added and notified by email/text. Be sure to check your status before class — once added from the waitlist, our cancelation/no-show policies still apply.
-
Can I bring my baby or child to the studio?
For safety, liability, and to maintain a focused environment, babies and children are not allowed in the studio, including the lobby or waiting areas. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
-
Is the studio cleaned regularly?
Yes! Cleanliness is a top priority. We sanitize equipment after every class, and the studio is professionally cleaned daily.
-
What counts as a late cancel or no-show, and what are the fees?
Canceling your class less than 12 hours before the start time is considered a late cancel and will result in a $14 fee. If you’re absent from class without canceling, it’s a no-show, and a $25 fee will apply. Classes booked through Classpass are not controlled by us.
-
Why do these fees exist and who do they apply to?
These fees help keep our classes fair and available for everyone by discouraging last-minute cancellations and no-shows. They apply to all clients.
-
How can I avoid fees, and what if I have an emergency?
To avoid fees, cancel at least 12 hours in advance. We understand emergencies happen—if something unexpected comes up, please reach out to us at hello@matchpilates.com so we can review your situation.
